do you believe in angels?

Do you believe in angels?

Well we all know that when babies are born they are angels!!

But does anyone believe in angels of another variety? We're not talking "Charlie's Angels" either!
Although those that played the part of his Angels were very good in their roles!

I, for one, believe in angels. I believe they are like guardians on your shoulder!

Always whispering in your ear what to do to stay out of harm's way!! That's why I always trust my instinct or my conscience.  I think they try to guide us to do the right thing!

But that is just my personal view. Everyone has to decide for themselves if they do.
But who can resist the cherubs of Michaelangelo, not me!!

This last one has to be my favorite!
And they always say "Nurses are like angels" (so I may just be a little bit biased.)  It can't hurt to believe that there is something ethereal beyond the humdrum of everyday life.
It brings a little miracle in our daily routine.  Something of wonder!
That is just beautiful in the concept, alone.

Nobody's perfect

Well I woke an hour early this morning but I didn't realize until I was getting in my car...I wondered why it was sooooo dark outside still. Then I looked at my clock and saw it was 5:45 am! Yikes!

So I am taking this time to write this to you. Why not? Some encouraging words for this Tuesday morning. A little chuckle to tickle your funny bone.

And before I go to work I will definitely take the time to walk my furry friends. I can actually use the time. I am usually a little later than I like, but not today! I figured out what happened! I must have been tired last night and set my alarm for 4:30 am! Silly me!

I could fall back to sleep for a few zzzzzzzs but I'm afraid I would have a harder time getting up again. For those of you who think it is early. I would agree with you. But it starts a 12-hour day. Nurses typically work only 3 days a week, so 12-hour days actually are preferred. It's short-lived though because it is too hard on the body, over a long period of time.

I love the comraderie of nursing. The people I work with are super. I couldn't do it without them. I haven't met a nurse I didn't like. We are good people.

So I hope each and everyone of you has a fantastic day!

What I have learned

Most of all I have learned from being a nurse is that all life is precious. If I could just spend a few moments to contemplate that thought I would say that each and everyone of us has purpose in our lives. Although we may not know the path to take at this time, we each have one.
Through our families we learn what is important to us. Through each other, friends, coworkers, teammates and associates, no matter our diversity, we learn through our differences, new discoveries, new methods of doing things, new joys, new adventures. Life is a journey to be explored and uncovered.
