Tumeric and all that spice!

Tumeric and cumin spice is a natural anti-inflammatory. According to some physicians and scientists, they believe that disease is due to an inflammatory process (ie. cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, obesity, allergies, premature aging and chronic fatigue syndrome). One example would be when you eat sugar and your body tries to metabolize refined sugar.  Inflammation causes injury at the cellular level. An anti-inflammatory diet is rich in nutrients. An antioxidant rich diet will help restore proper balance. Foods rich in antioxidants include:  berries, grapes, oranges, pomegranate, pineapple, kiwi fruit, lemon, ginger, beets, spinach, parsley, red cabbage, peppers, pinto beans, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts and sunflower seeds. Raw, organic produce is by far the best choice.
